Frameworks

Original models for consciousness, development, and transformation.

Through scholarship, teaching, research, and lived experience, Baruti KMT-Sisouvong, PhD, has developed frameworks designed to illuminate the relationship between consciousness, human development, and the processes through which individuals and societies evolve.

Why Frameworks Matter

Maps for navigating complexity

Human beings make sense of the world through frameworks. Some remain implicit and inherited, while others are consciously developed to illuminate patterns that might otherwise remain unseen.

The frameworks presented here emerged through decades of inquiry into consciousness, human development, education, contemplative practice, symbolic life, and lived experience. They are intended not as final answers but as tools for exploration, reflection, and transformation.

Framework One

Seven Layers of Manifestation

The Seven Layers of Manifestation is a consciousness-based framework describing the movement from the deepest level of reality through progressively expressed layers of manifestation.

1. Pure Consciousness

The field of pure awareness and unbounded potential.

2. Universal & Natural Law

The organising principles governing emergence and order.

3. The Phenomenal World

The world of nature and observable reality.

4. Human Consciousness

The subjective experience through which reality is interpreted.

5. The Human-Derived World

The institutions, systems, and structures created by people.

6. Constructs

The beliefs, narratives, identities, and assumptions that shape perception.

7. Outcomes

The observable results emerging from the interaction of all preceding layers.

The framework suggests that outcomes do not arise independently. Rather, they emerge from deeper layers of reality, consciousness, organisation, and meaning.

Framework Two

Model for Perpetual Growth and Progress

Developed through doctoral research, the Model for Perpetual Growth and Progress (MPGP) describes the developmental process through which individuals cultivate mastery, service, refinement, and meaningful contribution.

1. Knower – Knowing – Known

The foundational relationship between awareness, process, and object.

2. Seeker

The decision to pursue growth, understanding, and development.

3. Tool Development

The acquisition of skills, knowledge, practices, and capabilities.

4. Intentional Refinement

The conscious improvement of tools through disciplined effort.

5. Sacred Service

The application of development in service to something larger than oneself.

6. Mastery Through Practice

The cultivation of excellence through sustained engagement.

The model suggests that transformation occurs not through isolated moments of insight but through ongoing cycles of learning, refinement, service, and practice.

Relationship

Manifestation and becoming

While the Seven Layers of Manifestation describes how reality expresses itself through successive levels of emergence, the Model for Perpetual Growth and Progress describes how individuals develop within that reality.

One framework examines manifestation. The other examines becoming. Together they offer complementary perspectives on consciousness, development, and transformation.

Applications

Applying the frameworks

Education

Supporting learning as a developmental and transformative process.

Leadership

Understanding growth beyond technical skill acquisition alone.

Human Development

Examining growth across the lifespan and across domains of life.

Meditation & Contemplative Practice

Cultivating direct experience and expanded awareness.

Artificial Intelligence & Consciousness

Exploring emerging questions regarding intelligence and awareness.

Civic & Social Transformation

Addressing outcomes through deeper causes and developmental processes.
